I'm a die hard organic/biological psychiatrist who loves challenges
presented in the form of treatment resistance and difficult to treat
patients.
I'm a student and practitioner of biological school of psychiatry. I
firmly believe that every psychiatric disorder arises from dysfunction
of neocortex and each one of them have extremely strong multigenetic
background which can be documented once our understanding of brain
broadens to an optimal level.
Presently I'm attached to a medical college as teacher as well as have a visiting attachment with a tertiary referral psychiatric hospital. My area of interest is treatment resistant schizophrenia specifically clozapine resistant schizophrenia and treatment resistant OCD. My approach towards disease is a combination of psychopharmacology, psycho education, psycho-social rehabilitation and genetics(where applicable).
